Public BBQ

A brand new playground split into two adjoining sections, one built for older children and one for the younger ones, and it has been done properly. There are colourful slides, swings including a swivel swing, a climbing wall, rope climbing, balance stumps, and a bike and scooter circuit with a larger BMX track and a skate ramp out the back. Undercover tables and seating sit alongside a barbecue, with a grassy area that suits dogs. The design is worth noting — pink and yellow tones and generous flower plantings give it a distinctive look, and the whole site is well cared for. It is a favourite on Sunday mornings and works best for preschool and primary ages. The one real gap is amenities: there are no toilets.

Generally No! The BBQs are first come, first serve. However, if you plan on having a larger event then please check with Monash council.

Aussie public BBQs are simple to use. Majority of sites listed on this website are gas or electric BBQs. Simply press the button and it will turn on for a set amount of time (10-20 minutes).

You should first check with Monash council about the rules and restrictions.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
